This first-ever program was scientifically designed and created to intuitively teach children essential life skills and leadership development principles, while contemporaneously providing authentic Division I soccer training.

Significant research has shown sports to be one of the few opportunities for children to learn and perfect their leadership abilities and competencies. Our founders questioned why this leadership education needed to be “experienced“ instead of “taught” and an idea was born. Entrepreneurs and natural leaders at heart, they sought out to create a “new kind“ of soccer clinic - one that doesn’t simply focus on skills and hope each participant gains some leadership experience - one instead, that is designed specifically to teach six of the most important leadership qualities on the field and off the field, through exciting and never-before-seen new drills, activities and experiences.

To do so, they partnered up with a leading expert in the field of early childhood leadership development who just so happened to be their very own college professor and author of the new hit children's book, “THE SIX SIMPLE SECRETS TO BEING A SUCCESSFUL KID." Together, they sought to design and create an original, never-before-seen soccer skills program that would be the first to combine leadership development education with NCAA Division I collegiate soccer skills training. 

Leading the program are three star NCAA collegiate athletes, hand-selected and chosen specifically for their demonstrated leadership capabilities - clearly on display not only on the field, but in the classroom & throughout their communities. 

Personable, friendly, and caring, this group has put together a program unlike any other before - that not only offers fun, creative soccer education and drills, but provides lessons in leadership, empathy, teamwork, communication, and more!

With the goal of creating something different while also helping as many people as they could, the trio teamed up with their Professor, a leading expert on leadership development and personal growth and Author of the hit children's book, "THE SIX SIMPLE SECRETS TO BEING A SUCCESSFUL KID." 

Working together with Professor Gordon, the group utilized the proven leadership lessons researched and offered  in Professor Gordon's book and combined them with their own experiences and advice. What resulted was a never-before-seen program chock full of activities, drills, and lessons that are not only fun, unique, and creative, but that fully incorporate Professor Gordon's extensive research and findings on early leadership development. 

During the program, participants will take part in break-out sessions, one-on-ones, and partake in all new drills, games, and contests designed specifically to make them better leaders. 

Examples of just some of the many fun drills or activities participants will experience include: 

• Participants will enhance their communication skills in our Silent Soccer Game & Blindfolded Soccer Drills;
• Learn the importance of empathy in our unique Dynamic Dribbling Duo contest, 
• Build confidence & resilience while embracing humility in our Airing of Grievances and Gratitude's drill, as thy appreciate the importance of giving & receiving criticism in a healthy way;
• Understand the importance of making those around you better and team work through our exciting team relay race, the Six Simple Soccer Skills Sprint; and much, much more! 

Matheus França, a homegrown NJ Native with experience and intel in all US TIERS (Academy/MLSNEXT | UNIVERSITY/ NCAA D1 Level Soccer @Seton Hall & FDU | Professional (Rochester NY FC MLS NEXT PRO) is offering one-on-one mentoring to help players of any age and level understand the US soccer landscape, stay focused, and learn what it takes to succeed in a D1 Athletics program and in Life. Matheus will:

    ● Guide youth athletes’ careers who look to pursue a great high school/collegiate or potentially a professional career. 

    ● Provide private on field training to improve craft 

    ● Connect players with top teams MLS NEXT TEAMS in NJ - CSA, PDA, TSF, ISC

Leading the program with Professor Gordon are three proven leaders from the Seton Hall University Pirates NCAA Division I Men's and Women's collegiate soccer teams, all from very different walks of life but all displaying the same tried and true leadership attributes necessary to succeed not only soccer, but in life.

Axel Berglund, originally from Finland, is SHU's starting midfielder who has been consecutively honored and named "Scholar Athlete of the Year" each and every season played.

Natalie Tavana, from Connecticut, who has become the breakout star of the SHU Women's soccer team, having recently been named "Big East Player of the Year" and "Athlete of the Year" as well as being recognized for the "Athletic Performance of the Year" and as the team's Leading Goal Scorer.

Matheus Franca, originally hailing from Brazil, is SHU's lock-down goal-keeper who's background includes a championship winning high school career, time spent playing professionally in the MLS, coaching some of the state's most talented youth players, and always being the constant entrepreneur, spearheading the idea for this program.
